Everyone wants a glowing complexion and beautiful, smooth skin. Did you say exfoliate? Find out in this article how to gently exfoliate your skin.

What is exfoliation (or scrubbing)?

Exfoliation consists of rubbing the skin to get rid of its dead cells.

Indeed, dead cells tend to remain on the surface of the epidermis. Thus, they can clog the pores and dull the complexion. Exfoliation therefore helps to achieve a more beautiful skin and a more radiant complexion.

There are many other benefits of exfoliation: oxygenating the epidermis, preventing the appearance of pimples and blackheads, smoothing the skin...

4 steps to effective exfoliation

Choosing the right product is crucial! At QEI+, we make our soaps using a traditional process and we add finely ground apricot kernels to allow a gentle mechanical exfoliation. The QEI+ exfoliating soap or exfoliating shower gel removes dead skin cells, refines skin texture and activates cell regeneration.

In order to perform the best face and body scrub, some good gestures are essential!

1. Lather the soap and apply on a wet face.

2. Massage in small round moves.

3. Leave on for a few minutes.

4. Rinse in cold water and gently dry.

Gently scrub the skin in circular moves on the desired area avoiding the delicate eye area. Manly scrub the T zone (nose, forehead, chin)

Your skin is revitalised and ready to receive care, the creams penetrate better and their action is therefore more effective!

If your skin is oily or combination, you can exfoliate your face up to twice a week. If your skin is normal or dry, one scrub per week is sufficient.
